71 At Blum, the proportion of women in apprentice- ships was 7 % in 2009, but this figure more than doubled to 17 % following the campaign launch in 2011. In 2020, we even achieved our highest ever quota of 25 %. Not only has the total number of apprentices risen continuously since 2009, but the pro- portion of female apprentices in particular has steadily increased. The “Roberta” robot workshops have also helped encourage girls to get enthusiastic about technical professions. For many more recent female apprentices, this was the initial spark that ignited their interest in an apprenticeship at Blum.
