74 This year the Vorarlberg Future Day celebrated its 20th anniversar y. Since 2002, once a year girls and boys bet ween the ages of 10 and 14 have been invited to spend the day with their parents, relatives or friends at their place of work. On 23 June 2022, 70 children and young people visited us and got the chance to experience some of the specific jobs and individual areas of our family business. They even got some hands -on experience in “I’ll come too” : Vorarlberg Future Day 2022 Trials pay off Parental leave Number of girls who at tended apprenticeship trials in relation to the number hired Total number of employees who have taken parental leave 401–3 the toolmaking depar tment, where the young visitors eagerly punched out and assembled paper aeroplanes, which were then digitised and personalised in the design engineering depar tment. They also diligently mixed foam mushrooms in the laborator y and created their own Nine men’s Morris game to take home with them. We are delighted to suppor t this campaign ever y year and give children the oppor tunit y to explore their parents’ workplace. From 2009 to 2019, our hiring rate for girls has increased more than seven- fold and re - mains consistently high.
