183 Training | Workshops | For designers | Ideas for practical kitchens Experience shows that a kitchen will last about 15 years or longer. It's important that it not only looks good but is practical too with good workflows, adequate storage space and enhanced convenience. For Blum, the three key features of a functional and user-friendly kitchen can be summed up as follows: workflow, space and motion. The following pages provide some ideas. In-person training is recommended. Workflow - Convenience Optimal workflows with 5 zones Save time and energy by keeping everything exactly where you need it. Divide your kitchen into 5 zones (consumables, non-consumables, cleaning, preparation and cooking) to help you go about daily activities more easily. For right-handed people, the 5 zones should be arranged clockwise. If you're left-handed, it's the other way around. Make sure you have enough main worktop area (at least 900mm). Ideally, it should be between the sink and the hob. 12 Catalogue 2024/2025
